“I am pupper, doggo, dog, best friend, whatever you want to call me, but to my parents, I amtheir baby, Diggo.
Pawrels is not just an apparel brand for dogs, but it is a mission born out of an innate need to protect and provide for me and others like me. When I found my family in 2019, they were so excited and happy. And of course, they were, look at me!
Unfortunately, this happiness didn’t last long. I contracted Parvo within a week of coming to my forever home. My parents were worried sick and heartbroken when they saw me fighting for my life. I visited the vet a lot. At such a young age, I was injected with medicines, and drips and experienced a lot of suffering.
But, don’t feel too bad for me. My family was right by my side. Then with a lot of love and care from my parents and the doctors, I survived!
I could wag my tail with joy and do zoomies again. However, I wasn’t the same Digoo for a while. I was underweight, and shed a lot of my fur because of all my medications. I was a thin puppy with a big heart, who was cold and weak.
That’s when my ma went looking for clothes to keep me warm. She didn’t find clothes that fit me well and made me comfortable. So she went ahead and bought clothes from human kids’ clothes and tailored them to fit me. I am telling you she’s obsessed with me, but I love her too, so that’s okay.
However, this is when my parents realized that they wanted to start Pawrels to keep other puppers like me happy and warm.
They say I, Diggo the good puppy, brought a lot of colors, happiness, and sunshine into their lives, and they wanted clothes that reflected this emotion.
Over time, they realized other parents also want their furry family members to have clothes that showcased their unique personalities, energy, and hearts full of love. However, the pet fashion industry in India is still limited. So with me as their muse, they started creating clothes that show a part of the sunshine I bring to their life.
They are all Diggo-approved.
My parents have created these boopable fits made of materials that are pet-friendly and environmentally friendly. My parents care a lot about this cause as well. They have created patterns using colors from various selections and would love to create something unique if you wanted, just like that ankle-biter by your side. (I have tried to tell Ma that’s not biting, but that’s another argument).”
